Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s path from celebrated DJs to dominating the electronic music scene has been a constant, upward trajectory. This year saw the duo claim the prestigious #1 position in DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll, voted for by fans worldwide and smashing records as the first ever duo to scoop the prize.

Whether wreaking havoc across Europe, Asia, Australia, North or South America, ripping up the music charts with immense studio releases, cutting huge remixes for the A-list elite or playing their part in the incredible rise of the Belgian mega-festival Tomorrowland, the award-winning brotherly duo have now become the leading lights in the new wave of international dance music currently taking the planet by storm.

Their electrifying live combination of DJ sets and crowd-busting MCing has propelled them towards party notoriety, scooping the hotly contested ‘Best Breakthrough Act’ award at the 2013 International Dance Music Awards (IMDAs) and back-to-back ‘Best European DJ’s’ awards in 2014 & 2015, the pair also later won 'Best European DJ’ & 'Best Artist Group' in the 2016 edition of the IDMA’s.  The brothers won ‘Best Global DJ’ at the 2015 edition of the EMPO TV awards in Mexico and repeated the triumph again in 2016, as well as winning ‘Best Big Room’ and ‘Best Music Video’ for their unmissable music video The Hum. They’ve also since been two-time winners of the MTV EMA for ‘Best Belgian Act’ and claimed Beatport’s ‘Artist of the year’ award in 2014 after 10 #1 Beatport hits and counting including ‘The Hum’, ‘Mammoth’, ‘Tremor’ and ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ amongst their many classics.

Picking up heavy support from top industry figures like Apple’s Beats 1’s host Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Danny Howard, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have fast become one of the go-to acts for major recording artists from remixing Lady Gaga, over to scoring edits for everyone from Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, Ne-Yo and plenty more.

With their unique arena-smashing brand of entertainment the duo have become constant headline features at the planet’s biggest and most prestigious stages week in, week out, including holding residency at the luxurious Hakkasan Las Vegas since the beginning of 2015. The pairing have also held down one of the most in-demand residencies in recent Ibiza memory, taking over the Amnesia Terrace for every Sunday with their unique ‘House of Madness’ party, merging together a truly manic party concept of the Summer’s biggest anthems that will return yet again for 2016. With previous guests Diplo, Steve Angelo, Fat Boy Slim, Yves V and more alongside 2016’s confirmed DJs including Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero, ‘House Of Madness’ prepares to cement itself as a modern event to remember in Ibiza history.

From legendary clubs like Pacha Ibiza and NYC to Mansion in Miami, London’s Ministry of Sound and Brazil’s #1 epic Green Valley club, to festival main stages including Mysteryland, EDC Las Vegas, EDC UK, Ultra Music Festival, and Creamfields plus many, many more, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike regularly illuminate the top billboards of the hottest tickets around including most prominently, the world’s biggest and best festival Tomorrowland of which the duo have been official residents of for over 5 years, bringing their killer anthems to a main stage audience of hundreds of thousands yearly.

Whilst their presence across the arena circuit is something to behold and testament to this statement is the soaring number of views that their first ever solo ‘Bringing Home The Madness’ event has achieved to date with over 21 million YouTube views and counting, whilst the event itself sold over 36,000 tickets making it “one of the country’s most impressive shows”, and later aadded a second chapter with three massive sold-out arena spectacles in Belgium & Mexico City. In 2015 the brothers broke records again when all 40,000 tickets for their next run of ‘Bringing The Madness 3.0’ shows at Belgium's most legendary venue - Sportpaleis Antwerpen - sold out in under 40 minutes; a feat previously only managed by legendary names such as U2, Madonna, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson, leading the pair to add another date due to phenomenal demand from their legions of fanatic fans.

The pick-up from the overwhelming fan support generated is as impressive as both their touring and release schedules, with the duo amassing 7.7 million Facebook likes, over 2 million Twitter followers collectively, 2 million Instagram fans and in excess of 375 million YouTube views and counting across their videos, the global phenomenon of the brothers is undeniable. Their smash hit ‘The Hum’ netted them the #1 single spot in their native Belgium going platinum, a feat that was repeated just a few months later with their ‘Higher Place’ collaboration penned with R&B superstar Ne-Yo, which spent an astonishing 10 weeks atop the singles chart in their home country. The track also went on to secure the #1 Billboard Dance Chart spot, furthermore picking up a trend as one of the most Shazamed tracks at festivals including Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld, Ultra Miami and Creamfields – but Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are never one to conform to standard practice and continue to push the boundaries of their musical scope. This was proven when the bothers, alongside previous collaborators Steve Aoki and Ummet Ozcan, were chosen to produce the official Belgian Red Devils Euro 2016 football anthem ‘Melody’, a boisterous, explosive track primed to get the team and spectators suitably revved up for the competition this Summer.

Never ones to slow down, their crowning position at #1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll will only see the duo propelled to even greater heights. Their relentless drive to continually provide their solid and loyal fanbase with even greater and more exciting shows, music, and madness, is likely to see Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ascend even beyond the top tier of the electronic music scene. Their appeal and genuine love for what they do has been behind the impressive accolades the brothers have received so far, and they’re only just getting started.

Club MTV Europe - Tinie Tempah

Tinie Tempah

Tinie Tempah - Picture

The inimitable Tinie Tempah shot to prominence in 2010 when his debut single ‘Pass Out’ hit #1. More huge crossover hits followed in the shape of his second #1 and Stateside breakthrough track ‘Written in the Stars’, as well as ‘Frisky’, ‘Miami 2 Ibiza’, ‘Invincible’ and ‘Wonderman’ – all of which featured on his debut album ‘Disc-Overy’ which went straight to #1. Numerous awards followed, including Best Breakthrough Act and Best Single at the BRITs; Best Newcomer at the MOBOs and an Ivor Novello for Best Contemporary Song- all of which underlined his status as one of the most important artists of his generation.

For his second album, 2013’s ‘Demonstration’, Tinie decided to return to his roots, recording the entire album in the same Greenwich studio he’d made street hits like ‘Wifey’ and ‘Tears’. He also refused to settle for anything less than perfection; he had songs re-produced, re-mixed and re-vocaled numerous times until he was 100% certain they were perfect. He also enlisted Manny Marroquin, engineer for everyone from Tupac to Kanye and Usher, as well as collaborations including Dizzee Rascal, Tom Rowland of The Chemical Brothers, Naughty Boy, Emeli Sandé, Paloma Faith, Laura Mvula, 2 Chainz and John Martin.

After the release of ‘Demonstration’, Tinie once again hitting the upper reaches of the charts with crossover singles such as ‘Trampoline’ and ‘Children of the Sun’, Tinie’s guest features extended with two more #1 smashes with Cheryl Cole’s ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ and DVBBS & Borgeous’s ‘Tsunami (Jump)’.

As a prominent figure in British fashion, Tinie was named Best Dressed Man in GQ’s Men of the Year Awards 2012, and in 2013 was selected as the ambassador for the London Menswear Collection. More recently Tinie featured in the BBC arts series Private View in which he examined Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty costume exhibition.

As well as famously high-fivin’ none other than Prince William at 2014’s BAFTAs, Tinie’s highest profile live shows have included the closing ceremony of the Olympics; every major festival from Coachella to Glastonbury; as well as supporting the likes of Jay-Z, Usher and Rihanna. His most recent UK arena tour included a triumphant homecoming show at London’s O2 Arena.

Tinie Tempah made a sensational return last summer with the release of ‘Not Letting Go’, his first new track since the release of ‘Demonstration’. ‘Not Letting Go’. Contrasting Tinie’s charismatic flow with a soaring pop hook courtesy of Jess Glynne, it became Tinie’s 6th UK number 1. He quickly followed this up by guesting on KDA’s ‘Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)’ together with Katy B. His inimitable party rousing style on this club banger helped deliver his 7th UK Number 1. Tinie has now had as many UK #1s as Michael Jackson, U2, Kylie, Robbie Williams and Elton John, and is the artist with the most UK # 1s this decade.

Tinie then concluded 2015 by revisited his underground roots on the ‘Junk Food’ mixtape. Released on the independent Disturbing London label, it featured guests including Giggs, Big Narstie, Stormzy and JME.

In April 2016, Tinie stormed back into the upper reaches of the charts with ‘Girls Like’ which features Swedish vocalist Zara Larsson and has since sold 500,000 copies. Together with a sold-out O2 Academy Brixton show, it proves that Tinie is on a high and back at the top of his game – something that he celebrated by reprising his renowned Disturbing Ibiza party at Ushuaïa Ibiza during residencies in June and September.

‘Girls Like’ was followed by ‘Mamacita’, a summer explosion of Latin rhythms and swinging salsa grooves which finds Tinie weaving his distinctive rhymes around a hook courtesy of guest artist Wizkid.

Tinie has spent the majority of 2016 writing and producing new material in his home studio. The result is that ‘YOUTH’ – set for release on January 27th – is an album that’s infused with ideas relating to its title, but also one that brims with the playful and uplifting aspects that fizzled throughout ‘Disc-Overy’. The album is already packed with hits in the shape of ‘Girls Like’, ‘Mamacita’, ‘Turn The Music Louder’ and ‘Not Letting Go’.

“I wanted to give a nod to all of the genres of music I heard growing up that made me want to be a rapper,” explains Tinie. “The good thing about being from London is that you hear so many different styles of music, and are exposed to so many different things. I wanted to make an album that felt nostalgic with elements of those big British sounds from different genres, whether that was garage, grime, hip-hop or R&B.”

Tinie concludes the year with a month-long European tour that calls at ten different countries – he already had a second run of dates lined up following the release of ‘YOUTH’.
